Characteristics
This full grain badalassi wax leather is a soft waxy leather that compliments all of the hides natural wrinkles, freckles and scars giving it a grainy textured look. Colour and texture will vary slightly to phots as each pieces is an idividual cut of hide. This leather will scratch,scuff and patina with use, giving it a unique look that will enhance with age.
About The Leather
Produced by Italian tannery Badalassi Carlo. A member of the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana.
Badalassi Wax Leather is a pure vegetable tanned leather produced on shoulders. The leather is tanned in a wooden drum using oils and animal fats, through dyed and polished with a roll of amber stone. The wax is added during the tannage process to provide a distinct pull-up effect. The tanning tradition for this article is centuries old.
